About me

My name is Franck Lin and I have dedicated my life to women's health.

After graduating medical school at University of Toledo, I completed residency training at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. In Hershey, I met my wife, a dedicated PhD student studying the genetic/epigenetic causes of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Kim and I live in Urbana, raising twin toddlers and two adopted dogs.

Dr Lin listened to my complaints about my painful, irregular periods with empathy and sincerity. I wanted a hysterectomy and he discussed less invasive options without patronizing me. And then he actually fought my insurance company to twist their arm and convince them that a hysterectomy was my best option. He even validated my pain and experience. He thoroughly and patiently explained risks and contextualized how likely those risks are in every day language. I have never experienced that from a doctor before. Any of it.AND I had a great recovery, too. Dr Lin is a treasure.
